A shared apartment move is the rare occasion when a group of people start living together again. What you do together in the first few hours shapes your image of each other. Four practical games that work in this setting.
Requirements
- One phone, one person as host.
- No card collection, no dice, no pen and paper setup.
- Works without WiFi. piparo.party runs offline.
- It also works if the roommates don't all know each other yet.
1. Ice Breaker (45 minutes)
Relaxation without drama. Cards are written in such a way that the answer is also a story that you don't yet know. "What was the last time you felt really silly?" "What song has been in your head for two weeks?". Works sitting, leaning, in the kitchen for the first round of pizza.
2. Table rule (runs in the background)
One rule, everyone agrees, from now on it applies for the next two hours. “No one is allowed to say another person’s name.” "Every mention of the old shared apartment: action". The app doesn't track anything, the round does it itself. Creates a second level of play while you play cards, cook and set up.
3. Who Would Rather (60 minutes)
Once the crew gets to know each other a bit, "Who Would Rather" is the first character study moment. One person points to the roommate who they think is the first to ignore the mountain of dishes. The group laughs or disagrees. Both are information.
