FAQ
The ten questions we get the most.
Two sentences each, no marketing tone.
Do I need an account?
No. piparo.party is a pass-the-phone app: one device, one table. Install, name the crew, start a round. No login, no email check, no cloud.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first download you play fully offline. Content lives on the device. Pro content syncs once after purchase and then works offline too.
How many people can play?
2 to 20, depending on the game. Truth or Dare works with two, Werewolves needs six, Impostor four. Every game shows its player range before you start.
How much does it cost? What is Pro?
All 25 games are free to play. Pro unlocks the premium packs in every game: spicy, themed and special packs plus extra word sets. Pro is weekly with trial or annual at a saving. You see the exact price and renewal before purchase.
Do we need to drink to play?
No. The app is rated 12+ and cards don’t default to alcohol prompts. A "shot" option exists in the action picker next to push-ups, singing and a euro-jar, but is never the default.
Which languages does the app support?
22 languages at launch: German (source) plus English, French, Dutch, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Polish and eleven other EU locales. The app reads your system language and switches automatically.
When does the app arrive in the stores?
iOS and Android launch in 2026 on the Apple App Store and Google Play. We'll let you know when they go live.
What data does the app collect?
No names, answers or card content. During onboarding you choose between "essentials only" and "all allowed" for PostHog with EU hosting. In "essentials only", the app sends only anonymous session-level baseline events. Card answers, player names and game history never leave the device.
How does piparo.party differ from Picolo or Party Knights?
Three points: first, 25 games including Werewolves, Impostor and Charades, not only card prompts. Second, 22 languages instead of two or three. Third, 12+ rating with content that works without a drinking default.
Can I create custom cards?
Yes. In "Custom Challenge" you type your own cards and mix them in. Inside jokes for a wedding, a hen do with personal dares, a flat-share move-in, anywhere the default deck would be too generic.
